404-file not found when click on category

Congratulations if you managed to install wordpress successfully on your host. But if you encountered the above error when you clicked on one of your categories, you can try this solution. It works for me.

Ensure you have .htaccess file in your wp root directory. If you can’t find it, then you need to create one. Then set the permission attributes to “766″.

Next, go to your wordpress dashboard -> Options & update your permalink structure to /%category%/%postname%.html
